Hotel Route Inn Kyoto Kumiyama
ホテルルートイン京都久御山
Does Hotel Route Inn Kyoto Kumiyama allow tattoos? Yes, covered
A hotel by the expressway in Kumiyama, south of the city toward Uji, with a large communal bath. JR Ogura, the station the hotel names, is three kilometers east.
Tattoos are allowed if a cover seal hides them completely. The group names no seal size and doesn’t say the hotel sells seals, so bring your own.

The bath
Opened on March 27, 2025, the Kumiyama hotel fills Tabibito no Yu with natural hot-spring water and names the source: Kameoka Tennen Onsen Genji no Yu, in Kameoka. It is a mild, low-temperature spring, and the hotel notes that it is diluted, heated and filtered on a circulating system. There is also a sauna, open the same hours as the baths. Men and women bathe separately, 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Each side stocks body soap, shampoo, conditioner, toner, milk lotion, cotton swabs and a scale; cleansing oil and cotton pads are on the women’s side, shaving foam and razors on the men’s.
The hotel
A new 224-room hotel by the Keiji bypass. Breakfast is free in the 96-seat Restaurant NAGOMI on the first floor, 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., with croissants and Danish baked there. The same room serves dinner, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday, including an all-you-can-drink deal at ¥1,000. Microwaves are on the first, third, sixth and ninth floors, and a 7-Eleven is about four minutes’ walk.
