Dormy Inn Premium Namba Natural Hot Spring
ドーミーインPREMIUMなんば
Does Dormy Inn Premium Namba Natural Hot Spring allow tattoos? Yes, covered
Yugiri no Yu, on the second floor: radon spring water tankered from Shijonawate, a rock open-air bath under lights meant to look like fireflies, a dry sauna with a television and a mist sauna on the women’s side.
Tattoos are allowed if up to two cover seals hide them completely. The chain's seals come in three sizes up to 11.8 cm × 17.2 cm (4.6 × 6.8 in), and stock is limited, so ask at the front desk when you check in, or bring your own.

The bath
The radon water, brought in from Shijonawate in the east of Osaka prefecture, fills the indoor tub, in a room arranged behind shoji-style screens to feel calm at night and fill with daylight in the morning; the outside bath is a half-open-air rock tub edged with stone slabs, with tall bamboo poles strung with small lights. Men get a two-level dry sauna and a deep plunge held cold by a chiller; women a nano-steam mist sauna and no plunge. Open 3 p.m. to 10 a.m., saunas shut 1 to 5 a.m. Ice cream is free until 1 a.m., a lactic drink from 5 to 10 a.m., and a welcome drink in the second-floor restaurant until 11 p.m.
The hotel
Room types run from 14.7 m² doubles to 27 m² twins and Japanese-Western rooms for four, on Serta beds with shower booths. One odd one out: the business single has a washing machine in the room and no shower, so you rely on the bath. Breakfast is ¥2,500, and its local dish is a build-your-own seafood bowl with tuna, salmon roe and whitebait. Free soy-sauce ramen is served in the HATAGO restaurant from 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Good to know
- The business single has no shower, only a washing machine; pick another type if you want to wash in the room.
