Does Dormy Inn Akihabara allow tattoos? Yes, covered
Tattoos are allowed if up to two cover seals hide them completely, the largest 11.8 cm × 17.2 cm (4.6 × 6.8 in). The bath, Suehiro no Yu, is on the 9th floor with an open-air bath under a wide opening to the sky.
The hotel's own FAQ says seals are provided “depending on the facility” and that stock is limited, so bring your own of the right size.

The bath
The bath, Suehiro no Yu, is on the 9th and top floor, and the hotel is candid that neither the indoor tub nor the open-air one is a spring. What it has instead is unusual for a Dormy in Tokyo: an open-air bath with a big opening to the sky, laid out in stone like a country inn's, and on the men's side wide enough to stretch out in, with a television over the water. The women's side is smaller but built the same way. Both sides have a two-tier dry sauna and a chilled cold plunge, and the outdoor space doubles as the cool-down. Open 3 p.m. to 10 a.m. the next morning; the sauna is off between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.
The hotel
97 rooms: semi-doubles, doubles, and a run of Japanese-style doubles and Hollywood twins, all on Simmons pocket-coil mattresses with duvets. Check-in is 3 p.m. and checkout is 11 a.m.
Good to know
