Tattoos are allowed if two of APA's cover seals, 10 cm × 12 cm (3.9 × 4.7 in) each, hide them completely. The bath, Genyo no Yu, is on the 12th floor with an open-air bath over the Sumida River.

The bath

Genyo no Yu is on the 12th floor, free to guests, with an open-air bath the hotel says looks out over the Sumida River. Guests, it adds, praise the view. APA's standard bath water is a "quasi-natural Komeiseki hot spring," which means an artificial spring made with a mineral ore, not water from the ground. Open 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. The shower heads are the ultra-fine-bubble type.

The hotel

A standard APA tower in Komagata, between Kuramae and Asakusa. The sumo arena at Ryogoku is 15 minutes on foot or one stop on the Oedo line.
