Kasenkyo Izutsuya
湯村温泉 佳泉郷 井づつや
Does Kasenkyo Izutsuya allow tattoos? In a private bath
A house that has been taking guests since 1702, with eight baths on its own spring — one on the roof, one below ground — and a single special room, Miyabi, with an open-air bath of its own.
One suite, Miyabi, has a source-fed open-air bath of its own; that is the room to book. The eight baths in the rest of the house — the rooftop one, the one underground — carry no published rule.
What happens when you arrive
Skip the shared baths and reserve the private one the way this page describes; once the door is closed nobody is checking anything.
How we know
Confirmed Confirmed from official site — bath structure, not a tattoo policy

Best for: The oldest house in town, if the Miyabi suite is free
The suite is described as 源泉温泉露天風呂付き特別室「雅」. One room only, so it is a listing for a booking made early. No tattoo policy is published.
Check availabilityBooking through this button costs you nothing extra and sends a small commission our way — it’s what keeps this guide free for our tattoo community, and every policy on it checked. Thank you.
