Midoriya
湯村温泉 緑屋
Does Midoriya allow tattoos? In a private bath
Every bath here is private. There are three, all free, and you take whichever is empty.
The hotel has no shared bath at all. Its two indoor baths and its garden open-air bath are each for one party at a time, free, and can’t be reserved: you go in when the sign at the door shows it is empty. The hotel publishes no tattoo rule, and with every bath private there is nothing for one to apply to.
The bath
Three baths, and none of them shared. Kaze-no-yu and Shiki-no-yu are indoor baths on the ground floor, each large enough that the hotel calls it a large bath, and the third is an open-air bath in a small designed garden. All three run on free-flowing spring water. A session is about 30 minutes, with no limit if nobody is waiting, and you can check on your phone which bath is free.
The baths are open from check-in until 11 a.m. the next morning. They are for staying guests only.
The hotel
Four room types. The Premium room, 52 m² for up to four, has a cypress bath of its own on free-flowing spring water. The Family room is 59 m², the Superior Twin from 41 m² and the Standard Twin from 26 m², and those three have a shower and no tub. The building has no elevator. Check-in is 3:30 p.m. and checkout is 11 a.m.
Drinks are included, alcohol too. Breakfast is 8 to 9:30 a.m., and some plans add dinner, such as Tajima beef sukiyaki (beef simmered in sweet soy sauce).
