Does La Vista Furano Hills allow tattoos? In a private bath
Nine floors above Furano the big bath looks straight at the Tokachi range on one side and over the town on the other, and three small private rooms downstairs, a rock tub, a birch pot and a cypress box, cost nothing to use.
The hotel prints a flat refusal on its own bath page: guests with tattoos may not bathe in the ninth-floor Shiun-no-yu. Its parent chain publishes a different answer on this same hotel’s FAQ page, where tattoos are refused in principle but allowed if covered by up to two seals in one of three sizes, the largest 118 × 172 mm. The property page is the one enforced at the desk, so treat the large bath as closed. What is open is the three private baths, which are free, and that is the reason to book here.

Best for: A tattooed traveler who wants a Furano Station hotel with three private tubs and no extra charge for them
The three private baths are Ashibetsu, a rock bath and the largest; Shirakaba, a pot bath lined with birch; and Yamabuki, a cypress bath. All run at 40°C, are open 15:00 to 10:00 the next morning, are asked to be kept to about thirty minutes, and each has its own powder room and washing area behind an inner door. The large bath Shiun-no-yu is on the ninth floor on the hotel’s own source, a sodium chloride spring, with an indoor bath, a pot bath, an open-air bath and an utaseyu; the men’s side has a high-temperature dry sauna and a chilled cold bath, the women’s a nano-steam sauna. Sauna closed 01:00–05:00. The chain FAQ’s seal sizes are 85 × 105, 100 × 140 and 118 × 172 mm, two seals at most, and it says stocks are limited and not every property carries them.
