Does Seiryuso allow tattoos? In a private bath

Seiryuso runs two wells of its own, and one of its four open-air rooms comes with a private dry sauna standing next to the tub.

No tattoo rule appears anywhere on the Seiryuso site, and its shared baths are therefore unanswered. The private side is unusually deep for a house this size. Four rooms have their own source-flow open-air tub, one of them with a private dry sauna beside it, and three more baths are reservable: two on the hillside, Aoi Yama and Ringo-no-ka, and a view bath called Tsuki-no-yu.

Where it is

Matsue is the door, 2 h 35 from Okayama on the Yakumo limited express. Tamatsukuri is one stop west. Kaike is a bus from Yonago and Misasa a bus from Kurayoshi, both east along the San’in line, and Yunotsu is two hours west by way of Izumoshi.. JR Sanyo-San’in Area Pass Seven days on JR West trains across both coasts for 23,000 yen, with reserved seats on the Sanyo Shinkansen between Shin-Osaka and Hakata and on the Yakumo limited express from Okayama to Matsue. It covers the Super Matsukaze from Matsue to Kurayoshi. The Hinomaru bus from Kurayoshi to Misasa, 340 yen, is paid separately. Sold on Klook.

Best for: A tattooed traveler who wants a sauna and a private tub in the same room

The in-room sauna measures 173cm high by 107cm wide by 87cm deep, is set between 80°C and 85°C, and cuts out after three hours; there is no cold plunge with it. The whole house has been non-smoking since April 2021. Seiryuso draws on two wells of its own and sells itself on water quality rather than scale.
