Does APA Hotel Yokohama Kannai allow tattoos? Yes, covered

Cover seal required

Tattoos are allowed if two of APA's cover seals, 10 cm × 12 cm (3.9 × 4.7 in) each, hide them completely. The bath is on the 14th and top floor, with an open-air bath and the only sauna in any APA in Tokyo or Kanagawa.

Overnight guests get both seals free at the front desk each night. A tattoo two seals can't hide is refused.

The bath

Genyo no Yu is on the 14th and top floor with an open-air bath and a sauna. The open-air bath is open to the sky but, the page is careful to say, has no view. APA's standard bath water is a "quasi-natural Komeiseki hot spring," which means an artificial spring made with a mineral ore, not water from the ground. Open 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 2 a.m., free to guests, with ultra-fine-bubble showers.

The hotel

A standard APA tower in the Kannai business district.
