Tattoos are allowed under up to two of the facility's own seals, 11 cm × 20 cm (4.3 × 7.9 in) each, worn throughout the building. Tell reception when you arrive.
Tattoos are allowed if covered by up to two facility-issued seals of maximum 11 cm × 20 cm (4.3 × 7.9 in). Seals stay on throughout the building, not just in the bath, and you must tell reception about the tattoo when you arrive.

The bath
The water comes by tanker from the Manyo no Yu spring at Yugawara and the Hachiman spring at Atami, into an open-air bath, the indoor bath and a nano carbonated bath. Each side has three saunas: an herb steam sauna and a dry sauna with a löyly on the hour, plus a salt sauna for women and a sauna above 100°C for men, with cool-down chairs facing the harbor. Open around the clock; the set admission covers the baths, a yukata (a light cotton robe), towels and the building from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m., with a late-night charge after and ¥100 bath tax. Private baths with the spring water can be rented, and the lounge is where people who miss the last train spend the night.
The hotel
The rooms, from the 4th floor up, run from a six-mat Japanese room for two to a 49 m² Japanese-Western room, a Western twin, and capsule cabins in separate men's and women's sections. Most rooms have a toilet but no bath, and some 4th-floor rooms have a shower, because the baths are the point. The one exception is the suite, with a sea-facing hinoki cypress spring bath and a one-person sauna of its own. Room rates include the day admission, the late-night charge and breakfast. The building is open to you from 10 a.m. on the day you arrive, though the room itself is yours from 5 p.m. (3 p.m. for the suite) to 11 a.m.
