Yokohama Minatomirai Manyo Club

横浜みなとみらい 万葉倶楽部

Does Yokohama Minatomirai Manyo Club allow tattoos? Yes, covered

Cover seal required

You can bathe if the tattoo is completely hidden under a cover seal. The size the property allows is the thing to check before you book — allowances differ enough between chains to decide the matter.

Admitted if covered by up to two facility-issued seals of maximum 11×20 cm (4.3×7.9 in). Seals stay on throughout the building, not just in the bath, and the tattoo must be declared at reception.

Seal size allowed: 11×20 cm (4.3×7.9 in)

当館指定のカバーシール(最大11cm×20cm)2枚までで覆えるサイズのタトゥーであれば、貼った上で館内をご利用頂けます。

The operator’s own wording, copied from the page named under “How we know” below. Holding up your phone settles the question faster than explaining it.

What happens when you arrive

Cover the tattoo completely before you go in, with a seal that fits the size the property allows — that figure is in the policy line at the top of this page, and it is the property’s, not ours. Where the seals are sold at the front desk, buy them at check-in rather than at bath time; where they are not, bring your own. A seal that does not cover the whole tattoo counts as no seal, and staff are within their rules to turn you away at the door. Nothing needs declaring, but nothing may show.

Best for: A rooftop foot bath over the harbour, five minutes from Minatomirai station

This was a deliberate policy opening introduced on 1 February 2020, not an unofficial workaround.
