Does Oshiage Onsen Daikokuyu allow tattoos? Yes!
You can use the bath with your tattoos visible. Nothing to cover, no size limit, and nothing to declare at the desk.
Admitted with nothing to cover. The bathhouse says so twice on its own English page: “Tattoos OK” beside the price, and, in its FAQ, “Tattoo is ok.”
The bath
The name is not decoration: the water comes from a well sunk sixty years ago under the building, and its analysis came back with hot-spring properties, so the plain white bath is spring water at 42 degrees on both sides. Beside it are a walking bath and a carbonated bath, both kept cooler for children, and upstairs a large open-air bath that the operator says does not feel like Tokyo. Two saunas — a far-infrared one and a mugwort steam salt sauna at 50 to 60 degrees with humidity near saturation — and which side of the building gets which alternates between the men’s and women’s baths on odd and even days, so check the board if the sauna is why you came.
Open 15:00 to 10:00 the following morning on weekdays, from 14:00 on Saturdays and 13:00 on Sundays and holidays, closed Tuesdays — and yes, that is all night. Adults 600 yen, which covers 90 minutes on a weekday or an hour at the weekend; the sauna band adds 370 yen on the open-air side and 300 on the carbonated side, and extends the time. After that it is 100 yen per ten minutes. Towels 130 yen.
What is good about it

- Real spring water and a rooftop open-air bath for 600 yen.
- Open through the night, to ten the next morning. Closed Tuesdays.
Getting there
Six minutes on foot from Oshiage STN, which the Hanzomon, Asakusa, Tobu Skytree and Keisei Oshiage lines all reach, and ten minutes from the Skytree itself. JR Kinshicho is twelve minutes. The Yokokawa 3-chome bus stop is a minute away on the To-08 route.

What happens when you arrive
There is nothing to do. Check in, go to the bath. No seal to buy, no measuring, no declaration to make, and no size at which it stops being allowed. If a member of staff does query it, the operator’s own wording is under “How we know” below — showing it ends the conversation without either of you needing the other’s language.
