Does Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Tsukiji allow tattoos? Yes!
Tattoos are welcome in the bath, with nothing to cover. The hotel confirmed it to us by phone in September 2026.
Unlike the other Mitsui Garden hotels in Tokyo, this one doesn't mention tattoos on its own bath page. It's still covered by the group-wide policy change of March 1, 2026, which applies to every Mitsui Garden bath.
The bath
This one is underground and built to feel like it. The bath is in the basement, and the room is designed to feel like a cave. That's the opposite bet from the group's tower-top baths, which sell a view. Here there's nothing to look at, on purpose.
No sauna, no open-air side, and the water is heated rather than a spring. The women's changing room is unusually well stocked, even by the group's standards: cleanser, makeup remover, toner, lotion, cotton pads with hair ties, tissues, cotton swabs and a dryer.
Open 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., free to guests. Towels come from your room.
The hotel
Opened September 30, 2024, self-rated four-star, and the most practical of the Ginza pair. Rooms take up to four: a 39.3 m² corner Deluxe, a 46 m² three-bed Deluxe, and a 26.5 m² Superior with a single 2.4-meter-wide bed. Check-in is 3 p.m. and checkout is 11 a.m.
The restaurant is the ONO Group's first in Tokyo, which the hotel describes as Michelin-listed. GINZA ONO Gratia, on the 14th floor, cooks over wood, and a shorter version of its menu is available as in-room dining. A guest gym is on the 9th floor and the bath is in the basement.
Good to know
- A washer-dryer, microwave and fridge in every room, rare at this level in Tokyo, and enough for a longer stay.
- Checkout through the room TV, and housekeeping requests too.
- ONO Market in the lobby does bread, fruit tarts and small dishes to take away.
- Thirty minutes from Haneda. Keikyu runs through to Higashi-Ginza without a change.

Higashi-Ginza STN · Tokyo Metro Hibiya & Toei Asakusa lines
3 minutes from exit 6.
Tsukiji is four minutes from exit 2 on the Hibiya line. Haneda about thirty minutes by Keikyu; Narita an hour and ten by Keisei Skyliner via Ueno.
