Does Art Hotel Narita allow tattoos? Yes!
Tattoos are welcome in every bath here, and there's nothing to cover. The hotel confirmed it to us by phone in September 2026.
The hotel's own onsen page lists who can't bathe: guests who are drunk, children still in diapers, and anyone connected to organized crime. Tattoos aren't on that list, and the hotel told us there are no restrictions at all.
The bath
Narita Onsen Biyu is the hotel's own spring, drawn from 1,000 meters down. The water is a gold-colored strong-salt spring, the kind that keeps you warm long after you get out. There's an open-air bath, a rock bath, a lying-down bath and a sauna. The women's side adds a mist sauna and an herb bath. Day visitors are welcome too. Tickets are sold through Asoview and Nifty Onsen, not at the door. Entry can be capped when the baths are busy, and children still in diapers can't bathe.
The hotel
A full-service hotel on the expressway side of Narita. A free shuttle runs to the airport and another to JR Narita Station, which is how most guests arrive, since the hotel isn't walkable from either. Rooms start at a 25 m² twin, and there's a convenience store inside the building.

Formerly the Narita View Hotel, and the first hotel in Narita with natural hot-spring water. Now part of the Art Hotels (ICONIA) group, which has no group-wide tattoo policy.
