Does Art Hotel Narita allow tattoos? Yes!
You can use the bath with your tattoos visible. Nothing to cover, no size limit, and nothing to declare at the desk.
Admitted with nothing to cover. Asked by telephone on 7 September 2026, the hotel said there is no restriction at all. Its own onsen page lists who is refused — drunk guests, children still in diapers, anyone connected to organized crime — and tattoos are not on that list.
The bath
Narita Onsen Biyu is the hotel’s own spring, drawn from a thousand meters down: a gold-colored sodium chloride strong-salt water, the kind that holds heat long after you get out. There is an open-air bath, a rock bath, a lying-down bath and a sauna, and the women’s side adds a mist sauna and a herb bath.
Day visitors are welcome too, with tickets sold through Asoview and Nifty Onsen rather than at the door. Entry can be capped when the baths are busy, and children not yet out of diapers are not admitted.
The hotel
A full-service hotel out on the expressway side of Narita, with a free shuttle to the airport and another to JR Narita station — which is how most guests arrive, since it is not walkable from either. Rooms run from a 25 m² twin upward, and there is a convenience store inside the building.

What happens when you arrive
There is nothing to do. Check in, go to the bath. No seal to buy, no measuring, no declaration to make, and no size at which it stops being allowed.
