Does Izumi Tenku no Yu Haneda Airport allow tattoos? Yes!
Tattoos are welcome here, with nothing to cover, and you don't need a hotel room. Both Villa Fontaine hotels in the building confirmed it to us by phone in September 2026.
The bath's own pages say nothing either way, and the hotels couldn't answer on size. The answer is theirs, given to us directly.
The bath
You don’t need a room: this is a public bath on the 12th floor of the Spa City building at Terminal 3, and anyone can walk in from the terminal and pay at the door. The water comes from the operator’s own well, a strong-salt spring, heated and filtered. The women’s bath, Fujimi no Yu, looks at Mount Fuji on a clear day; the men’s, Gin’yoku no Yu, at the aircraft. Each side has an open-air terrace and a glazed indoor hall, a hot tub, a carbonated bath, jet baths, a dry sauna and a herbal steam room; a stone-bed sauna costs ¥800 more, closed to children under 13. The baths close 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for cleaning, so the bathing window is 12:30 p.m. through to 10 a.m.
The hotel
Day admission is ¥4,800 for anyone of junior high age or older, which includes the bath tax, both towels, indoor wear and the stone-bed sauna. Children from four to 12 pay ¥2,000. Under-fours aren't admitted, and neither is anyone in diapers. The hotels upstairs publish a stricter line than the bath does, no preschool children at all, which reaches about age six. With a young child, assume the stricter rule and ask before you pay. Staying past 1 a.m. adds ¥4,000, charged automatically, and under-18s are sent out at 11 p.m. unless a guardian is with them. If you're sleeping upstairs it's far cheaper. Guests of Villa Fontaine Grand or Premier pay ¥2,500 for the stay with unlimited re-entry, and the late-night surcharge doesn't apply to them. When the place is busy, hotel guests get in first.
Good to know
- No room needed: ¥4,800 at the door, inside the terminal building.
- Fuji from the women’s side, aircraft from the men’s, 12 floors up.
- Expect a closure about once a month for maintenance, on top of the daily cleaning break.
Getting there
You reach the Spa City building without going outside, and a restaurant on the same floor stays open around the clock.

Directly connected to the terminal, then the 12th floor.
The free shuttle buses to the city ended in July 2025.

Guests with tattoos can use the public bath in 'Izumi Tenku no Yu - Haneda Airport', located on the 12th floor of the same building as the hotel. There are no restrictions for guests with tattoos.
Best for: a bath between flights, or a night flight with time to kill
Not to be confused with Izumi Tenku no Yu Ariake, the same operator's other bath, which refuses tattooed guests in writing. Same brand, opposite policy.
