The hotel’s own AI concierge, asked on 7 September 2026, says there are no tattoo restrictions at Izumi Tenku no Yu, the rooftop bath on the 12th floor of the same building. Nothing on any written page states this, and the concierge did not answer a follow-up about size.
The bath
The Premier has no bath of its own. It shares one with the Grand next door: Izumi Tenku no Yu, twelve floors up in the same Spa City building, the same water and the same view whichever of the two you sleep in. The water is a real spring from the operator’s own well, an iodine-bearing sodium chloride strong-salt water, heated and filtered. The women’s side is called Fujimi no Yu and looks at Mount Fuji; the men’s is Gin’yoku no Yu, the silver wings, and looks at the aircraft.
Around the open-air bath sit an indoor bath over the city, a hot tub, a carbonated bath, jet baths, a dry sauna and a cooler herbal steam room, with a stone-bed sauna area alongside — black germanium, lava stone, rock salt and a cold room — at 800 yen extra, ages twelve and up.
Open around the clock but closed to bathers from 10:00 to 12:30 for cleaning. The guest rate is 2,500 yen a night with unlimited re-entry during the stay; whether your room rate covers it depends on the plan, so check. Towels cost 200 yen in the changing room.
Worth knowing if you are choosing between the two hotels: the bath is not the deciding factor, because it is the same bath. The Premier’s own spa, ELLE SPA, is a separate paid treatment suite, not a second onsen.
The hotel
The quieter and more expensive of the pair: 160 rooms, a restaurant of its own, and the first ELLE SPA in Japan. It shares Izumi Tenku no Yu with the Grand next door, so the bath is the same water and the same view.
What is good about it
- The same bath as the Grand, on a higher room grade and a quieter floor.
- A real spring at the airport, open around the clock apart from the midday clean.

Getting there
Directly connected to Terminal 3, the international terminal, like its sister hotel; the two stand side by side in the same complex as the bath. The free shuttle buses to the city and the other terminals ended in July 2025, whatever older guides say, so plan on the monorail or the Keikyu line.

What happens when you arrive
There is nothing to do. Check in, go to the bath. No seal to buy, no measuring, no declaration to make, and no size at which it stops being allowed. Neither the bath operator’s own site nor either hotel’s FAQ mentions tattoos — re-checked on 7 September 2026 — although the Haneda terms drop the refusal clause that the same operator’s Ariake property still carries. The permission quoted above comes from the hotels’ own AI concierge, on their own site, asked at each hotel separately on 7 September 2026. Asked whether size makes a difference, the concierge repeated its answer rather than addressing it, so a very large piece is worth confirming at the desk before you undress. The bath belongs to neither hotel — it is run by the operator of the Spa City complex — so the concierge is speaking for a facility in its building rather than for its own front desk.
