Does Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport allow tattoos? Yes!
Tattoos are welcome in Izumi Tenku no Yu, the hot spring on the 12th floor of this building, with nothing to cover. The hotel confirmed it to us by phone in September 2026.
The bath's own pages say nothing either way. The answer is the hotel's, given to us directly, with no size limit mentioned.
The bath
One bath serves both hotels: Izumi Tenku no Yu, on the 12th floor of the Spa City building, shared with the Premier next door. It is a strong-salt spring from the operator’s own well, heated and filtered. The women’s side looks at Mount Fuji, the men’s at the aircraft. Beside the open-air bath are an indoor bath, a hot tub, a carbonated bath, jet baths, a dry sauna and a herbal steam room; a stone-bed sauna area costs ¥800 extra from age 12. Open around the clock except 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Guests pay ¥2,500 a night with unlimited re-entry, included in some room rates and not others, so check. The official pages disagree on children, from age four or no preschoolers, so assume the stricter rule and ask.
The hotel
The larger of the two hotels, with 12 room types and a clear lean toward families and groups. There are rooms with three or four beds, Japanese-Western rooms that sleep four on two beds and two futons, and a 42 m² deluxe Japanese-Western room. The tatami rooms are laid out so you take your shoes off at the door. Simmons beds throughout, Grohe rain showers, and ReFa shower heads, dryers and facial rollers in some rooms.

Getting there
Terminal 3 is the international terminal, so you never step outside. The bath is upstairs in the same complex, reached by the onsen elevator from the 6th floor. Older guides still list the free shuttles to Tokyo Disney Resort, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Akihabara and the other terminals; they are gone.

Guests with tattoos can use the public bath in 'Izumi Tenku no Yu - Haneda Airport', located on the 12th floor of the same building as the hotel. There are no restrictions for guests with tattoos.

Guests reach the 12th-floor baths from the 6th floor by the dedicated onsen elevator. Bath access is charged separately on some rate plans, so check what your booking includes.
